Neuropsychology

Neuropsychologists specialize in understanding how the brain influences cognition, emotion, and behavior. Our neuropsychologists are clinical psychologists with expertise in brain-behavior relationships across the lifespan. They are uniquely qualified to profile neurocognitive weaknesses and strengths, identify problems in cognition, emotion, and/or behavior, and provide insights for improving health, wellness, and performance in all age groups.

During client evaluations, our neuropsychologists conduct clinical interviews, inquire about relevant history, review medical records, consult collateral providers and/or relatives, and administer standardized tests, with the ultimate goal of understanding brain health and functioning. Testing may feel similar to completing puzzles or brainteasers, and typically lasts roughly six hours. Our neuropsychologists analyze test results and integrate client history, medical records, and collateral input to formulate impressions. Upon completion of the evaluation, the clinician and client discuss assessment findings and establish a comprehensive plan to address problem areas, improve weaknesses, and leverage cognitive strengths. Our neuropsychologists will collaborate with you and your team to coordinate and implement care.

The types of neuropsychological evaluations we provide include clinical neuropsychological evaluations, Independent Medical Examinations (IME), Independent Educational Evaluations (IEE), Workers’ Compensation Evaluations, and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) evaluations.
