NEUROPSYCHOLOGIST

Dr. Paul Mangal is a licensed clinical psychologist with expertise in brain health and wellness. He specializes in neuropsychological assessment of adults with a variety of diseases and disorders. Dr. Mangal has experience assessing and treating individuals with conditions such as ADHD, learning disorders, traumatic brain injury, vascular disease and stroke, neurodegenerative diseases, memory disorders, movement disorders, epilepsy, substance use disorders, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and trauma disorders, as well as a variety of other conditions.  

He completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Neuroscience at New York University, where he first realized his passion for the studying the brain. After working in the field of visual neuroscience, he went on to earn his Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology from University of Florida during which he completed a clinical internship in adult and geriatric neuropsychology at the Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Mangal moved to the Bay Area to complete additional training in neuropsychology at the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Health Care System and the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). His research has been published in peer-reviewed scientific journals, and he has particular interest in innovative neurotechnologies.

During an evaluation, Dr. Mangal strives to understand how cognitive, behavioral, and psychological factors affect an individual’s day-to-day functioning. Throughout his career, Dr. Mangal has worked with LGBT individuals, college students and young adults, working professionals, veterans, older adults, individuals with diverse and multicultural backgrounds, individuals with complex medical conditions, and many other populations. In collaboration with clients, Dr. Mangal provides practical treatment recommendations for optimizing brain health and mental wellbeing.

At the Integrated Clinic, Dr. Mangal provides neuropsychological evaluations and cognitive rehabilitation services to adults.
