Occupational Therapist

Kimberly Flores is an Occupational Therapist (OTR/L), licensed by the California Board of Occupational Therapy. She has worked with a diverse range of clients, from pediatric to geriatric populations, across various socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. Her practice spans a wide array of clinical settings, including inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient clinics, and community-based mental health services, equipping her with the flexibility to meet the unique needs of individuals at every stage of life.

Kimberly takes a comprehensive, client-centered approach to therapy, focusing on empowering individuals to regain and maintain their independence in everyday life. She believes in a holistic perspective, integrating physical, emotional, and environmental factors that influence the client’s wellbeing and functional abilities. Her method involves working collaboratively with the client and their family, ensuring that treatment goals are aligned with their values and aspirations. By creating individualized care plans, she ensures that each person receives the most effective and personalized interventions.

Throughout the treatment process, Kimberly consistently evaluates and adapts her interventions to ensure they are addressing the client’s evolving needs. She applies a diverse range of therapeutic approaches to support individuals across the lifespan—young adults navigating career transitions or performance challenges, individuals with neurodevelopmental disabilities, and older adults facing age-related changes—focusing on enhancing adaptive functioning, promoting independence, and facilitating meaningful engagement in daily activities. Additionally, she provides caregiver training to equip family members with the tools and knowledge they need to support the individual’s progress and ensure a safe, functional living environment.

With a deep commitment to professional development and a passion for helping individuals achieve their highest level of independence, Kimberly is dedicated to making a meaningful impact in the lives of those she serves. Her compassionate and personalized approach fosters long-term positive outcomes, supporting clients in their journey toward enhanced quality of life.

Kimberly received her Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from California State University of Dominguez Hills and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a concentration on exercise science from California Polytechnic University of San Luis Obispo.

She lives in Redondo Beach with her husband and dog, Murphy. She enjoys frolicking at the beach, hiking, traveling, cooking, and watching Bravo.
